Or dive to our workplace filled with excessive work
We can't cut ourselves intentionally off,
We can't present our oh-so-cool impression.

These days,
Our emotional reactivity absorbs everything.
The negativity around the world, and
unresolved emotions haunt us in dreams,
And all that have started crawling within.

These days,
We're away from our judgemental & know-it-all peeps.
And ones who associate sensitivity with weakness.
This has helped many realize, we can't get our shit together 
by suppressing our feelings.

These days,
let's prioritize our mind as much as our body
and embrace its fragility 
by channelizing our tenderness
towards acceptance and constructive empathy. 

AS LONG AS WE LAST

When we kiss
And your eyes smile,
I shine & sparkle.
That's how I know
It's not only about the hots
But about us holding hands
As long as we last.

I wish I could
seize our little moments
And reminisce it forever.
Because this happiness
Is celestial and precious.
So let's savour it,

THE DELIGHTFUL ADMIRATION DELIGHTS MY SOUL

My heart glows with joy,

not when my friends compliment me

saying "Kya mast lag rahi hain"

but when a little beggar girl near the signal

continuously stares at me for a long period

and then comes to me and with a giggle

says "Didi, aap bahot sundar ho."

That delight in her eyes, delights my soul.

not when guys comment on my pictures

saying "You look gorgeous"

but when a teenage stranger girl on a two wheeler,

passes by me, takes a U turn,

stops her vehicle near me

and then with a smile

says "Di, you look beautiful."

not when a guy makes love to me and

says "I love your accentuated curves"

but when a kid vendor in local train

tries to read a few lines from my book

while I check out her collection of earrings,

says with a cheer

"Aap kitne pyaare ho

isiliye aapko jyada discount"

Sky makes me wonder.

Sea makes me wonder.

Sometimes my thoughts get tangled.

Sometimes they become crystal-clear.

Yet every musing flaunts a different story.

Yet every musing reflects my journey. 

Many think I'm lost, and feel pity.

Few who know me, let me be. 

I smile at them,

A BUTTERFLY WITH WHIMSICAL WINGS

She feels the pleasure

And yet is tender & fragile.
She craves attention,
But when she starts becoming
The center of attraction.
She starts fluttering.

They adore her grace.
They compliment her beauty.
They get inspired from her hues.
They envy her liberty. 
But nobody cares
About the metamorphosis.
About the time she took
To evolve herself.

So when they chase her

And gets them mesmerized.

To assure herself
That though they have the power to hurt her
She has the ultimate supremacy to fly away.
